Rescuing Kittens on the Daily Commute

On a regular commute to work last month, a member of the Caithness Freedom team encountered an unexpected sight on Mingle Inn road. Amidst the hustle, there lay a pile of fur that turned out to be three abandoned kittens. Without hesitation, the team took action to rescue two of the kittens, while sadly, one had already passed away.

With quick action, the team contacted the local animal shelter, Cats in Bloom, who promptly came to the rescue. After providing initial care, the shelter took over care, ensuring the kittens’ well-being. The Freedom team also contributed a $320 donation to cover the kittens’ medical expenses.

A week later, the team received a heartening update from the shelter. The kittens, now named Pandy and Puffin for their distinctive black and white coats, are thriving. This tale of rescue and care reminds us of the importance of compassion and community, even amid our daily routines.
