(WBRE/WYOU-TV) A big donation for a small Luzerne County fire department today “Caithness Freedom generating Station” donated 20-thousand dollars to the Salem Township Volunteer fire company.This is the third donation the department has received from Natural Gas Company. Freedom plans to donate more than 20 thousand dollars to them every year for a period of 19 years. The fire department showed off their new equipment today.
“We get a lot of services particularly emergency services, God forbid we’ll ever need it, from the local community,. So we’re every conscious that we have to be contributing member of the community help them do that right” Said Ross Ain, Caithness, Executive Vice President.
The plant is on line generating power for the electric grid.
